With 20 km of coasts, Jávea has the largest variety of beaches and coves in the province of Alicante.
Along its coast we can find four headlands: San Antonio, to the north that separates it from Denia, Cap Prim, Cap Negre and
further south Cabo de la Nao. All with impressive cliffs.
Part of its coastline is very steep so it has beautiful coves. Between the port and the Cap Prim, which forms the bay of Jávea, you will find the flattest and most accessible beaches. Between Cap Prim and Cabo de la Nao there are beautiful coves located between cliffs, with caves and beautiful views.
Jávea only has one sandy beach (Playa del Arenal) and several beaches comprisedof rocks and gravel. There are manysmall coves, some of which can only be reached by foot, in a canoe or by SUP.
The Arenal Beach is the only sandy beach in the entire municipality and, without a doubt, the busiest. It forms a small bay.
The southern end is delimited by the Punta del Arenal, where one of the 15 viewpoints of Jávea is located. The sunsets from this viewpoint are recommended as the sun sets behind the Montgó. There you can also find the Red Cross hut.
Bordered on the north by the Parador. Between the Parador and the beach is the Canal de la Fontana, a small canal where some 300 moorings for small nautical boats have been installed.
The beach is fine sand and has a length of about 500 m by 50 wide. The water is not deep, so it is an ideal place to go with children.
The Arenal is an urban beach, surrounded by low level apartments and has all the services that you can expect to find in such a location. The promenade of David Ferrer has all kinds of establishments, a selection of restaurants, ice cream parlours and shops. From Easter there are also temporary
«hippy» installations in the afternoons, until sunset.
Along the sand there are also all kinds of services. Rental of parasols, hammocks, pedaloes. There are also volleyball fields, football goals and basketball hoops
for children .
Some areas of palm trees on the sand will allow you to have places with shade. The beach is accessible to all, with amphibious chairs, bathroom and staff to assist you.
Jávea, due to its east / northeast orientation, frequently receives swells from the northern Mediterranean, and if we take into consideration the form of the coastline and the seabed, it becomes one of the best surf spots in the Valencian Community.
Jávea, for its coasts full of cliffs, small islands, coves and beaches with transparent waters, as well as the richness of its seabed, allow the practice of stand up paddle to be a real pleasure.
